GAINESVILLE'S THIRD ATTEMPT AT HAVING AN ANIME CLUB!

Welcome to the home page of "Anime Fanclub", an ecclectic group of otaku who meet every Wednesday night, from 6-8 PM, at Mega Comics in Gainesville. Mega Comics is just down the way from the Oaks Mall Toys R Us, so you can watch anime and buy Sailor Moon play sets in one convenient setting.

WHO WE ARE AND WHY WE DO THIS

We are otaku! We are anime and manga fans desperately seeking out the company of our own kind, even if they do drool over hentai or kiss Tamahome on the TV screen. We can't afford to be choosy, and frankly, we don't want to. Anyone who's willing to offer a floor to crash on in exchange for borrowed tapes is a friend of ours.

Two other anime fan clubs have come and gone before this one, but this time we think we've got the hang of things. Our tapes are brought in by our membership. The showings are FREE and open to the public. Our location is within sneezing distance of bus lines that can take you hither and yon across town.

Why anime, you ask? Well, why not? Learn about Japanese culture! See what American censors wouldn't let TV get away with! Laugh at the dubbing! There's a hundred reasons to watch anime on a Wednesday evening, stop by and you'll agree.
